This April, Nate Agbetu hosted Third Spaces, an evening of knowledge exchange, social innovation, and networking at G.A.S. Lagos. Curated by current resident Nate Agbetu, Third Spaces collaboratively explored how we make spaces for culture.
Yinka Shonibare Foundation is currently recruiting for a Fundraising Coordinator. This exciting new role will be focused on developing fundraising opportunities for two sister charities, Yinka Shonibare Foundation (Y.S.F.) London and Guest Artists Space (G.A.S.) Foundation, Lagos.
Contemporary visual artists, Nolan Oswald Dennis, Evan Ifekoya, and Raymond Pinto, are participating in residencies at G.A.S. Lagos leading up to the fourth edition of the Lagos Biennial. The Foundation is thrilled to be facilitating the artists' experiences of the city and creative processes as they prepare for their exhibitions at the 2023 edition of the Biennial.
Residency partner, South London Gallery is working with G.A.S. Foundation to facilitate three extraordinary artist residencies in the vibrant city of Lagos. Among the individuals selected for this incredible opportunity is the exceptional artist, Chiizii. This collaboration between South London Gallery and Lagos aims to foster cultural exchange and artistic growth, creating a platform for artists to immerse themselves in the rich artistic heritage of Nigeria.
Two weather-station projects – one in Rajasthan, India, the other in Ijebu, Nigeria – are the artist collective’s contribution to the World Weather Network’s climate-conscious initiative.
